Summer Camp 2026

Enrollment for summer camp will be available to current and incoming Limestone students by mid-January. Enrollment for the public begins in early February.

Limestone Summer Camps are open to students ages 5-13. All camp sessions will be divided into 3 separate classrooms based on grade level. Drop-off for camp days begins at 8:30. The camp day runs from 9:30 to 3:30, Monday – Friday. Breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, and all supplies are included in the cost. After camp care is available from 3:30 – 5:30 for an additional cost.

Imaginarium Arts Camp

June 1st – June 12th

Art camp is coming back to Limestone this summer! This is a space where young artists can play, experiment, and discover what’s possible with different materials and techniques.

Each week, campers will explore new mediums and create pieces they’ll be proud to bring home and share with you. We’ll celebrate the process as much as the finished work – the messy hands, the creative risks, the moments when something clicks.

All experience levels are welcome. Whether your child is just discovering their love of art or already creating constantly at home, they’ll find encouragement and community here.

World Cup Camp

June 15th – June 26th

Lawrence may be chosen as a host city for a FIFA World Cup team, and we couldn’t be more excited! This camp brings together two things we love: active play and learning about the wider world.

Campers will build their soccer skills through drills, games, and teamwork, while also diving into the geography, cultures, and stories of World Cup nations. We’ll explore where teams come from, learn about their traditions, and discover what connects us across continents.

By the end of camp, kids will leave with stronger soccer fundamentals and a bigger sense of the world around them.

Makers Lab

June 29th – July 10th

This camp is all about building, tinkering, and figuring things out. Campers will work with their hands and their imaginations to design and create projects using a variety of tools and materials.

Each day brings new challenges and possibilities – whether we’re engineering structures, solving design problems, or bringing an idea to life through prototyping and iteration. Kids will learn that mistakes are part of the process and that the best solutions often come from trying, adjusting, and trying again.

We’ll work both independently and collaboratively, learning from each other’s approaches and celebrating different ways of thinking. By the end of camp, campers will have created tangible projects to take home and gained confidence in their ability to turn ideas into reality.

All experience levels welcome – curiosity and willingness to experiment are the only requirements.

Theatre Camp

July 13th – 24th

Theatre is about stepping into someone else’s shoes, telling stories together, and discovering new parts of yourself in the process. This camp welcomes all kinds of young performers – the bold, the quiet, and everyone in between.

Campers will explore acting fundamentals through improvisation, character development, and ensemble work, while also diving into the creative work that happens behind the scenes. Some kids will shine on stage, others will bring their talents to costume and set design, and many will try their hand at both. We’ll play theatre games, work on scenes, and collaborate to bring stories to life – both in front of the curtain and behind it.

Along the way, kids will build confidence, practice listening and responding to each other, and learn that great theatre happens when everyone contributes their unique voice.

The camp will culminate in a celebration of the work we’ve done together with a performance.

All experience levels are welcome. Whether your child loves being on stage, wants to create the visual world of a production, or is curious about trying something new, they’ll find support and encouragement here.

Mini Session: Cardboard Construction

July 27th – July 31st

This camp is back for its third summer – and for good reason. There’s something magical about what kids can create when you give them cardboard, tape, and permission to build whatever they can imagine.

Campers will tackle quick building challenges that get their creative juices flowing, then move into planning and constructing bigger collaborative projects with their campmates. Past years have seen cardboard arcades, elaborate castles with working drawbridges, maze systems, and structures we never could have predicted.

This camp is about experimentation, problem-solving, and the joy of building something together. Kids learn to negotiate ideas, troubleshoot when things don’t work the first time, and celebrate when a design finally comes to life.

What will this year’s group create? We can’t wait to find out.

Elements of the Prairie

Gardening Galore

Sustainability in Action

Let’s learn about what people are doing to make our world a more sustainable one! We’ll have visits by the Kansas City Zoo and other special guests. The Limestone garden will provide us an opportunity to learn how to preserve our own food.  We’ll also dream up our own living landscapes, create recycled crafts, and have a chance to enjoy classic camp activities.

Because our summer camps are full-day, enrollment costs may be able to be claimed as part of the Child and Dependent Care Credit. Feel free to contact us for tax receipts!
